The district will be using the state sales tax dollars to fund the project, but we are looking to get alumni and community involvement in the funding process. With the costs of all that we want to do, we really need monetary support from our alumni and friends to make this happen. We plan to recognize all donors with a “donor’s wall/walkway” in the plaza at the new facility. There will be various levels at which to donate, with brick/paver coverage running from 4”X8” to 24”X24”. You can purchase a 4X8 brick for as little as $100. Included with this letter is additional information about the fundraising project. Checks should be made payable to Wayne Community School District with the note “Wayne Pride Project”. They should be mailed or delivered to 102 N. DeKalb, Corydon, Iowa 50060. (If you have already contributed prior to this letter, we will be contacting you directly)
The bottom line is that we want to build a facility that will represent Wayne student-athletes and the families of this community in a positive manner and that will perpetuate “FALCON PRIDE”. We need and want you to be a part of that! We would ask that you buy a brick or a paver at whatever level you would like. All funds from brick purchases will be processed through the Wayne Community Foundation and are tax deductible.
You can follow along with the progress of the project by visiting the Wayne Community School web site at www.wayne.k12.ia.us and click on the Wayne Pride Project tab. You can also join us on Facebook at Wayne Community Schools and Wayne Pride.
Please contact Dave Daughton or Cindy Enright for more information, at the school, 641-872-2184 ext. 4 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com . We would be happy to talk with you or provide you with more information about donations.
Thanks again for your support!! Falcon Pride!!
