I am a 1986 Wayne High School graduate. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Graceland University in 2006. Currently, I teach Language Arts courses at Wayne Community High School. My two favorite classes are Theater and Speech.
I live in Corydon with my wife, Fern. My daughter, Madison is currently attending Simpson College. My son, Cody, is an airman currently serving at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I plan to receive a Master's in Science degree for Adolescent Literacy and Technology Integration through Walden University in early March of 2013. My studies have provided me with innovative ideas to differentiate instruction and improve opportunities for students to experience technology in the Language Arts classroom.
I began my teaching career in 2007 at Wayne High School. I enjoy the challenges of teaching, writing, and speaking skills. I enjoy watching students grow into confident learners as they prepare for a future of life-long experiences. I appreciate the effort and creativity Wayne students place into their daily work.
My family and I serve as Worship leaders at our church. My wife plays piano, my daughter sings and plays percussion, and I lead the singing. I also enjoy singing with my relatives in a singing group called Just Family. We sing gospel, country, rock, and other genres for benefits and community events. I enjoy reading in my free time and spending quality time with my family.
I enjoy announcing games and activities at Wayne. I serve as an assistant coach for junior high football.
